John Glozier
Supervisor & Senior judge
John Glozier has been actively involved in professional boxing for several decades, with experience spanning event promotion, matchmaking, fighter management, and officiating.
He promoted his first boxing event in 1986 at the Mairangi Bay Hotel on Auckland’s North Shore. From there, he continued to promote boxing events across a range of venues throughout Auckland, contributing to the growth and visibility of the sport at a local level.
In addition to promotion, John has worked as a matchmaker for various promoters and has managed fighters throughout his career. He has been responsible for securing bouts both domestically and internationally, with fighters competing in Australia, the Philippines, the Pacific Islands, Japan, Indonesia, China, India, and Russia.
In more recent years, John has served as a boxing official, primarily as a judge, bringing his extensive experience and understanding of the sport into a regulatory and governance role.
He played a key role in the establishment of the New Zealand Professional Boxing Commission (NZPBC), working alongside Ioana Schwalger and Arden Fatu. The NZPBC was officially launched in December 2016 and continues to govern professional boxing in New Zealand.
John is now involved in the development and establishment of the World Professional Boxing Commission (WPBC), contributing his experience to support the creation of a structured and internationally recognised governing body for professional boxing.


Arden Fatu

Arden Fatu is a highly accomplished figure in New Zealand boxing, recognised for both his competitive success and long-standing contribution to the sport.
A three-time New Zealand National Boxing Champion, Arden proudly represented his country at numerous international competitions, achieving success across multiple high-level events.
Following his competitive career, Arden transitioned into coaching, where he played a key role in developing and guiding fighters toward successful professional careers.
Since 1990, Arden has been actively involved in officiating across both boxing and kickboxing. Over the years, he has established himself as one of the sport’s leading referees and judges, respected for his experience, consistency, and understanding of the game.
Arden is also a founding member of the World Professional Boxing Commission (WPBC), working alongside John Glozier to establish and develop the organisation as a credible and structured governing body for professional boxing.


Ioana Schwalger
Vice President
Ioana Schwalger is a highly respected and well-established official within New Zealand’s professional boxing community. She currently serves as Vice President of the Commission, playing a key leadership role in its operations and development.
With extensive experience in the sport, Ioana has attended WBO conventions and has worked closely with internationally recognised officials, including WBA representative Francisco Martinez and WBO supervisor Danny Leigh. This exposure has provided her with a strong understanding of global boxing standards and governance.
Ioana possesses comprehensive knowledge in overseeing and managing boxing events of all sizes. She has a clear understanding of the regulatory requirements involved in staging events that include international, regional, and world title bouts, and has hands-on experience across all levels of competition.
Her ability to ensure events are conducted professionally, efficiently, and in full compliance with governing standards makes her a valuable asset to promoters and stakeholders. Ioana is widely regarded as someone who can deliver well-organised events that run smoothly and without issue.
